- In June 1982, Hailin Bearing Factory was moved from Liziyuan into Tianshui city, and merged with Tianshui Diesel Engine Factory and Tianshui Tractor Gear Factory. After merging and relocation, the new enterprise still used Hailin Bearing Factory as its name, but all products were changed to bearings. In October 1986, the relocation work was finished and the new Hailin company was basically formed and put into operation. The original area of Tianshui Diesel Engine Factory came to be the north area of Hailin Bearing Factory and the area of Tianshui Gear Factory came to be the south area of Hailin Bearing. The main address of Hailin Bearing is the address of its north area, which is 55 Minshan Road, Tianshui, Gansu, China. By the time, the employees reached more than 4000, the production equipment was mainly from original Hailin Bearing Factory, and the production capacity maintained the same without any expansion in scale.
- With the introduction of the economic adjustment, system reform and market economy, Hailin has also changed from the planned economy model to the market economy model, that it had to be responsible for its production arrangement, sales, profit, and loss, instead of relying on the country in everything from production planning to products wholesales. In 1990, to enhance market competitiveness, Hailin took the lead in establishing its sales network in 12 central cities across the country, and the sales branches reached 18 in 1997, which laid the foundation for Hailin to comet with others in the market and became the role model in the sales system of China bearing industry. At that time, among the 65 backboned large enterprises in bearing industry, HL sales was in top 15.
- On November 21st, 1990, Hailin Bearing Factory was approved to engage in the import and export business by the Gansu Provincial Foreign Trade Department and Economic Cooperation.
- In early 1992, in order to adapt to the market situation, in line with the principle of one business dominated and several other business developed together, Hailin established 10 companies including Tianshui Hailin Import and Export Corporation, Hailin Marketing Company, Hailin Material Supply and Marketing Company, Hailin Instrument Distribution Company, Hailin Mechanical and Electrical development Company, Hailin Industrial Development Company, Hailin Transportation Company, Hailin Construction and Installation Company, Hailin Science and Technology Development Company and Hailin Repair & Build Company.
- In March 1997, Hailin obtained the ISO9002:1994 quality system certification issued by the China Classification Society Quality Certification Company; In September 2003, it obtained the ISO9001:2000 quality management system certification issued by the China Quality Certification Company (CQC). In January 2006, it obtained the ISO/TS16949 standard quality management system certification issued by the German TUV company, and in October 2017, it completed the renewal audit of the IATF16949:2016 quality management system.
- Beginning in 1998, the company positively implemented the reform of “Three Systems”, leaning main body, reducing staff, increasing efficiency. 8 auxiliary units such as school for children of employees, technical school, and industrial company were stripped away and auxiliary positions were compressed, the original 25 functional departments were merged into 10 departments and 1 office, and the number of main business personnel was reduced from more than 5,400 to more than 2,000.
